BLOG FOR MARCH 29, 2011 The past months I have been listening very carefully to God, the
Holy Spirit, as he speaks to me through His written, inerrent Word. I am convinced that many folk I have known and loved
and worshipped with through the years have drawn closer to Him, too. But some have been fooled by the world system as
they have gradually separated themselves from the Holiness and Awesomeness of a Sovereign God and snuggled up to just "the
love" and it has the appearance of a permissive parent who says it is OK to NOT totally follow the Scriptures. So,
in their worked up love and emotions they put their arms around the sin AND the sinner. They have forgotten what Paul
said in Romans that we are NOT to be conformed to this world system and that not only our wills and emotions, but also our
bodies are HIS. We are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds so that we might prove what the will of God is,
yes, the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. God is loving, yes, and I have been so full of that glorious love;
but God is also Holy. He wants us to live righteous lives. Lord, I will not be ashamed of you and your Word and
I will not succumb to this world system of total tolerance. There IS a hell. There IS a heaven. And I will
serve you in this Kingdom work so that your chosen ones will find their way to you and to abundant, clean, and holy lives.
TRANSITIONS During the life span we often have to go through transitions. Tiny baby to Toddler.
Toddler to School Age. Middle School to High School. High School Graduation to young adulthood. That's
when the transitions begin to get personal ... even more personal than the times we go through with all the others who are
our age. Teenagers understand the difficulties of transitions. That's why they get counsel from their peers. But
as we grow into our adult years these transitions become more internalized. Entering into marriage, or moving in with
someone (as our society currently promotes, contrary to the written Word), having your first child, learning that your spouse
isn't perfect after all, separations, death, and so many, many other transitions. And many of us begin to cover up our
true feelings due to what we perceive might be the opinions of others around us. That's when the anxiety comes. Depression
begins to silently work in our inner beings until we no longer have the zest needed to actively participate in the abundant
life God has planned for each of us.\ Sure, you can take it to the Lord in prayer. But sometimes that is not enough.
God made us social beings. Have you talked to a friend about your transitional blues? Don't let them evolve
into deeper emotional pain. I am going through my own transition right now. Ever hear of a Senior Citizen? That's
me! From a house to an apartment where other Senior's have apartments and suddenly everyone around me seems old. Adjustment
time is here again. The most beautiful transition is yet to be. The time when we step from this life of
transitions into eternity with our Lord in His home!!
